NBTX Shop Local - Gift Ideas for This Christmas Season

If there’s one thing we love about running small business in our town of New Braunfels, TX, it’s connecting with and sharing other small businesses with you. We have the opportunity to rub shoulders with some crazy talented people. We absolutely adore each of these organizations and can say with 100% guarantee that they put their heart and soul in all that they do in their respective industries.

There are no referral links or kickbacks of any kind, we just genuinely love these women and all that they are doing as small business owners in Central Texas. We know you will love them too!

For the Fair-Trade Fashionista: THE HOPE ARTISAN COLLECTIVE

The Hope Artisan Collective run by the 501(c)3 Handspun Hope holds an extra special spot for Abbey. Photographing for their non-profit both locally and in Rwanda has given her an up front view to how they are harnessing creativity to change lives and break the poverty cycle for at-risk women in Rwanda.

Y’all, they have a storefront right here in downtown New Braunfels…right next door to the beloved Max’s Haus. You will love their collection of fair-trade, artisan made jewelry, leather goods, home goods and more.

For The Modern Homemaker: DRIFT HOME + INTERIORS

Our friend Nat is multi-talented as an interior designer + rug slinger + (as of September) a brick and mortar shop owner in downtown NB. You have got to stop in and shop her amazing line up of thoughtfully selected products from both local and not-so-local (made in Morocco) artisans.

We could live in her shop. It is what interior design dreams are made of, and we have loved watching her vision come to life over the last several months as she designed this space filled with perfect items for that modern homemaker in your life.

For The Fabulous Foodie: BUKA BAKEHOUSE

For all the foodies in your life, Buka Bakehouse is the absolute best in private dinner parties + baked goods for the holidays. We cannot rave about her enough. Long time friends, we’ve had the privilege of knowing Kelyn since college days.

And now, owner and genius behind Buka Bakehouse, she never disappoints when it comes to anything sweet or savory. FOLLOW HER ON INSTA to get in on her Christmas bake good drop happening later this month.

PRE-ORDERS START THIS THURSDAY, December 7, 2023 for pick up between December 17th & 22nd.

She will sell out - you do not want to miss out of showing up to your holiday party with one of her Chocolate Peppermint Cream Pies. Or bring one of her assorted cookie boxes to your Christmas gathering. They make the perfect hostess gift!

For the Art-Loving Soul: MICHELLE BOYD STUDIOS

Okay, okay, Michelle is not technically a NBTX local, but she’s close enough being from ATX.

Michelle is one of the most genuinely joyful people we’ve ever met. Our ties go way, way back to when we were all wedding photographers in the Austin market. She pivoted to painting several years ago, and all we can say is be ready to fall in love with all things whimsical and floral. Her art is simply stunning. Her online shop is filled with an array of original artwork as well as prints, stationary, and the most beautiful scarves. If you’ve got art-lovers in your life that you need the perfect gift for, we are confident you will find the most beautiful piece in her shop.
