Recess 2021-2022 in Review | Central Texas School Portrait Photographer

It’s hard to believe spring is here in Texas. As the winter days begin to wane, we are already prepping for our Fall 2022 school portrait season. Dates are being finalized for the schools we are working with this coming school year, and we are fine tuning our processes even more to make it our best year yet!

To say we are excited about the growth we’ve seen in our modern school portrait program is an understatement. Recess has brought us so much joy, and we are expectant as the program continues to expand to more schools in central Texas.

This school year we’ve photographed over 900 students, and we still have a few schools left to wrap up!

WOW, it’s crazy to think we that have photographed that many kids. One of our favorite parts of this job is seeing each child’s personality shine in front of the camera. Kids are extra special that way - they just are who they are, and we get the opportunity to document those silly smiles, timid tears, and pensive looks for parents and guardians to hang onto for years to come.

All that being said, we want to extend a HUGE thank you to the schools who have allowed us to document their students this year. It has been such an honor to work with so many wonderful educators and parents, and, of course, their adorable kiddos!

When we first had a vision for offering a boutique photography experience to schools in a way that made both parents and staff happy, we had no idea it would grow to what it is today. It’s fulfilling to see schools catch that same vision and love the experience we’ve brought to their students and programs.
